2.4.7 --> 2.4.18


I want to upgrade from kernel 2.4.7 to 2.4.18. What are the steps i am supposed to carry out.

And i am not able to get my hands on 2.4.18 but only a patch. how to apply that patch.

The patch will only patch a 2.4.17 kernel into being a 2.4.18 kernel. You can either snag all 11 patches (about 40 Megs or so), or just download the new kernel source from somewhere, at around 30 Megs. www.kernel.org and read the How-to.
