[NOT REALLY LINUX RELATED] How do i fix loopback issues?
My router(MS MN100) has no loopback and i remember someone saying if i add something to hosts or something i can view my pages online.
EX:
Right now i cannot view my apache sites, ssh, use my forum or anything through my network at home. I would have to go to college computer or ask a friend to do something if i need to test it out. Im personally sick of it and need a solution because it seems like MS is not taking the no loopback issue too seriously. Do you guys/gals know of anything that will make the noloopback issue void and there for letting me view my site if i put www.mydomain.com ??

From what I understand, you want to configure your router through its web interface ( assuming one is available ) . I am looking at the product page right now, but sounds like you have to rely on a stupid wizard to get to it. Are you running Win 2K? It says "Setup features and functionality are limited on Windows 2000"
What is the internal IP address of the router? Type that into your location bar to hit/configure it. ( Eg 192.168.1.1 for Linksys routers.)
PS: Tell me it came free with your broadband connection or something. You didn't actually buy it , did you?
My webserver is already forwarded and works. It just didn't work w/ in my lan. It does now. MS released a new firmware for my router 2 days ago and loopback was fixed on it.
