'Unable to Retrieve Softwate Information' - ??
 

Right guys I managed to get my voyager 105 to work in centos, but I'm having trouble in my other linux partition (fedora). I put in my cd with the eciadsl rpm file on, and I right-clicked to open with the installer and then the installer started to process before promptly telling me this error "Unable to Retrieve Softwate Information", I tried a few other rpm files including wine and got the same error. It goes on about a/my/their network, I think it's cause I'm not connected to the internet, but without this working I cannot connect to the internet with fedora. What do I do to fix this/get around it?

First, what is a "Voyager 105"?

I infer that you need software to run this--in order to set up your internet connection--but you need the internet to get the SW.
How about using another computer to get the files? (Or your CentOS)

Why CentOS AND Fedora??

Voyager 105 is a BT modem.


I have all the files needed, but fedora wont install it unless an internet ocnnection is present.


CentOS and Fedora because I'm trying to decide which of the 2 to use.
