I had been looking at your question for a few days. With the installer that you linked, did they install a DX* package, or emulator?
I know transgaming uses a DX* emulator, and if the LOKI installer uses a DX emulator that would be your problem. My suggestion is to delete the game installation. try to install with WINEX. then try and run the game again. If this doesn't work, uninstall WINEX - reinstall WINEX, then install the game with WINEX.
1: You can install from the CD using WINEX cd mnt/cdrom -or- cd /cdrom
winex setup.exe
some games will require you to change CDs to continue the install
Open a XTERM window and issue these commands-
unmount mnt/cdrom -or- unmount /cdrom
<-- please consult your documentation, for the mount point of the CDROM file system under your distribution of LINUX.
While installing it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to reject any requests from the installer to install 'new' versions of Microsoft's DirectX multimedia system. WineX cannot properly coexist with Microsoft's DirectX implementation.
2: cd TransGaming_Drive/Program Files/Game/
winex Game.exe
I've taken this from the Transgaming installation FAQ. Since both TRANSGAMING and LOKI were two different solutions to get Windows based games running on LINUX, it wouldn't be advisable to use both. Loki systems is obsolete or out of business aren't they?
BTW have you been able to play other games since installing COD?
