xdoom not able to load dynamic libraries.

Hi. I am trying to run xdoom on Slack 11, kernel compiled with support for a.out and elf and am getting error:

xxxx@xxxx:~/downloads/games/doom/xdoom$ ./linuxxdoom
./linuxxdoom: can't load dynamic linker '/lib/'

I tried adding /lib to /etc/ and making a link:
ln -s /lib/ /lib/
then did ldconfig but still:

xxxx@xxxx:~/downloads/games/doom/xdoom$ ldd linuxxdoom
: can't load dynamic linker '/lib/'
not a dynamic executable

Seems to be nothing related to this in the readme that comes with the linuxxdoom tar file either. Got the same error when I compiled xdoom from source as well.
