WoW, installation doesn't ever find 2nd disk...

I am having the hardest time installing WoW under Slackware 11.0 using the latest version of Wine. After the first disk is installed I get a dialog box that comes up stating that I need to put the second disk in to continue the installation. So I login to another console and, via root, I issue "umount /dev/cdrom". I then eject the first disk and put in a second disk and then do a "mount /dev/cdrom". The cd begins to spin up and when I got to hit "OK" meaning that the second disk is in, nothing happens. It doesn't even look look like the installer is looking at the cdrom drive to determine if another disk has been put in. I don't see the disk light light up at all.

I'm at my wits end here. I tried "eject", I've tried "umount -l", and still, everytime I mount the thing again, the installer doesn't see the disk. I don't get any kind of error. The dialog box just stays there telling me to put the second disk in. I can click "ok" till the cows come home and nothing happens.

Any idea on what is going on? Anyone else expeirence this issue??

It has been years since I have done a Slackware installation. However, on any installation I have ever done on any distribution when I get the message to change disks I simply change the disk. I doubt that you need to go to an alternate console and go through umount and mount.
