WoW Can't log in, get error...

Nvidia driver is updated. Using wine 1.3.7
$ glxinfo | grep rendering
direct rendering: Yes
Kernel 2.6.35-ARCH
Arch Linux 64bit

Everything is fine except the launcher.exe won't work, says the skin archive is damaged.
So I am running using WoW.exe (Yes -opengl, etc, etc, etc.)

It start fine, looks good but gives me the error that I can't log in.

This error sounds really familiar. I never had the problem but I think I read somewhere that others have.

Anyone have any ideas?

I think I know the issue, maybe. It appears that patch 4.0.3 is live and I can't find it anywhere to download it. My guess it has to do with that. I wish I could be more sure though and find that patch.

try launching with the launcher, wine Launcher.exe -opengl

that should download the new patch

EDIT: I'm sorry I cannot read, try running the Repair.exe and see if that helps, THEN run Launcher for the patch.

Repair only tells me that that everything is ok, nothing tor repair. The problem is that Blizzard is saying they are streaming patches now and can't offer any patch downloads past 4.0.0. However their mirror patch page shows 4.0.1-4.0.1a.

I think the only way I can do this is to try and install XP in a virtual machine, install WoW on it and then copy the folder after the patch updates. If this doesn't work then I have to do a normal install of XP just to get the updates of WoW and copy it all to Wine.

I wish they would just do one for Linux since (even BSD for that matter) since they do make the game for Macs. This is going to be a pain, but at least I should be able to get this working.
