I've been mucking around with wine and world of warcraft for days now, and continually coming to dead ends.
I've followed the how-to at
http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=4031 countless times.
basically, get the 0.9.15 source, extract it and apply the wow patch using $ patch -p0 < wowpatch then compile.
all works fine, it patches the source files.
then, with the patch applied running $ ./configure works fine too, no missing dependencies or anything else.
following the 64 bit guide for fedora core 5 tells you to do this -
./configure --x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib --x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include --with-x
this works fine too.
i have installed all the development packages from the fc5 cd's as far as i know, and according to the various how-to's it should compile fine, however when i go to $ make depend, i get this error:
gcc -m32 -g -O2 -o relpath relpath.o -L../libs/port -lwine_port
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible ../libs/port/libwine_port.a when searching for -lwine_port
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lwine_port
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

make[1]: *** [wine] Error 2

any help on this would be appreciated.
note: running fedora core 5, athlon 3800 dual core, geforce 7600gt with latest kernel and kernel sources installed.
