World of Warcraft on Wine. 100fps ubuntu, half that with Arch and Debian

Topic. Why am I getting half the performance here? It loads and runs. But on Ubuntu it rarely dips below 80-85fps. With Arch or Debian it doesn't even max past 55fps. I am lost. Straight wine with dxvk. Nothing custom done other than manually doing the dxvk installation on both.

I dislike these comparison threads, but I guess we need actual technical info on each scenario - GPU/GL drivers, analytinc output, WINE version and setup, logs from system, WINE, the game.......

Re your signature:
You got Gnome Gears wrong. Really it combines most previous options in a non-configurable way, wraps it all in javascript so that it looks like an automatic, but really there's some code changing the gears. You cannot influence when and how it changes gears.

As always the devil was in the details. Apparently you have to download from the releases page of the git, not the main source itself. I missed it this time but clearly didn't miss it the first time. Got 100fps on Debian now. Likely same result on Arch and anything else now. Appreciate the views. Marking as solved along with feeling a fool.
