U wont be able to unzip it. Its only allowing ppl with winzip 9.0 to unzip it. I tried 8.1 but to no prevail. U cant install 9.0, suks ass. Sry man... just stop the download, I already posted a thread on the transgaming forums. No one could get it to unzip. By the way transgaming and blizzard are friends. :-/

i have dled the open beta client, but if you

cedega Installer.exe

the installer does not "install" and you just get a flashy non working menu for WoW.
if anyone has more info on the WoW on linux crusade please post.

Anyone have retail working? I used mine off my Windows partition (just used Cedega on it), but I couldn't get a mouse cursor. This is a known bug and Transgaming has said so.

Edit: Apparently, OpenGL mode will fix the mouse problem?

I'm not sure, I don't yet have the game.

Beta did end, but the open beta client is the same as the retail. You can play WoW with the open beta client. You will have to create an account on the WoW website to play, and it does ask for a cd key.

I tried Cedega 4.2.1 and wow. It started quite well, but at certen occations the system hung (first time situation since I switched from Windblow$) At last it hung one time to much, resulting in a situation where all of my inodes were wiped, resulting in not finding any files on my disc.

I do have a better solution:

Cant be that hard to Find 20 000 gamers who wants to play World of Warcraft native under Linux?

Sign the petition now (takes around 50 sec to do, if you know your phone number and your name!)

GO here
http://www.blizzpub.net/petition/

SIGN!

SPREAD the word!!!

IMPORTANT:
TELL at least two friends to pass this action on!

(I got it running under Fedora Core 3 with Cedega 4.2.1, after my crash, I've hered that U should run 4.1 of Cedega when you run wow)
