WineX emulated games requirements?


Since that new WineX (3.2) came out, they said that the system requirements for the games have droped.Well thats cool but how do u know what the system requirements are? I never used WineX so im not to sure if there something in the program that tells u, either way id still like to know before i buy a subscription? Please tell me if there is a site were I can go to see the sys. requirements.

i think the biggest improvement was that bf1942's mem usage went from around 1-2gb to.... well, i didnt catch that bit. i bet you could find the info on transgaming.

If you have a decent system most all games should run fine for you in wineX. I do see what you are saying though. I would look at it like this. WineX has it's requirements for what it needs to run. So a minimum system should be arounf the 500mhz mark I believe. If you have a game with say 1000mhz minimum then all you should need is a 1ghz comp. Obviously you would still have to consider if the wineX code was good or not for a particular game. If the code is bad and you have to modify a bunch of files to play a game, then maybe the requirements will be higher.

Basically, all you want to do is have I would say minimum 1ghz comp with a decent vid card to play all games currently available. You could prrobably use less but I like to think that way for a safety catch.

I'm running Wine (not WineX) in Debian, in a PIII with 160 Mb RAM and both Counterstrike and Tactical Ops runs smoothly so it all depends on your system configuration.
