WINEX Corrupt Graohics/black screen when running games
 
I have searched the net high and low and have been unable to find an answer to this problem.

Most games that I run I get a black screen or perhaps a few blobs of colour. This happens with Sim City 4 and Championship Manager 4 amongst others . The only game I can get to run is Warcraft 3. I've got a geforce2 mts video card. Any help on this problem appreciated as im pulling my hair out!

You have a GF2 card. That's your problem.

Yup, theres your problem. WineX takes up some resources, and the games take up even more. I run a GF4 440, and it works perfectly. If you are a serious gamer, you may want to upgrade to the FX series. Also, if you have less than 512mb ram, you may want to beef that up to.

ok cheers, I suppose I'll have to look into forking out for a new graphics card then :rolleyes:
