Does any one know where I can get a Quake 3 arena dedicated server for my linux box?

Point Release

quake3 +set dedicated 2 +exec myserverconfig

If you installed Quake3, you've got one, just install the Point Release 1.32b and copy in the pak0.pk3 from the cd. (google download links for the point release)

You can also run the 'q3ded' binary, which removes normal terminal chatter from the quake console. I suggest using the standard binary, running the server in a 'screen' session for remote access to the console.
