where are my frame rates at>??? AmericasArmy

Ok, I am having a problem with frame rates in AA. I get about 6-7 fps on average.

My system =
Mandrake 9.2 (downloading slackware right now )
2.5 Celeron
P4x400 chipset
Radeon 9000 agp (128mb)
ATI Drivers installed

glxgears nets me about 1800-2000 fps

now.. for the weird part. FrameRates in other games are as follows

UT2003 = 40-50fps
UT = 45-55fps
NWN = 35-40fps
ET = 35-40fps

now.. what is the problem with AA?? in all the other games.. settings all at mid.. nothing set to high. But in AA i have all settings on UltraLow w/ a screen res of 800x600 (the rest i run at 1024x768)

What is the deal?? any thoughts or comments?

thanks
trey
