No, it runs on Linux just fine (SteamOS is not much more than Debian streamlined for gaming, starting the Steam client in Big Picture Mode by default). Even the system requirements on that site recommend Ubuntu 12.04 or later.
Reading between the lines, I'd guess that what you're really saying is that you couldn't get it working on whatever distribution you're currently running. Am I right?
If I'm wrong and you just dismissed because the description said SteamOS, then, well, just install it and start playing it.

Yup Fedora 23 no go.
I guess Steam thinks that linux = Ubuntu and Ubuntu only.
This discussion is off topic. You should start a new thread so your trouble can be properly addressed. A quick search for steam fedora 23 leads to comprehensive instructions on how to get it working.
they might be not that difficult to port, since they are software-libre, just like the other games from Kenta Cho available from Debian/Ubuntu repository (Torus-Trooper, rRootage, Tumiki Fighters, etc.)
the problem is that these 2 games are made on xna - i heard that is a Mono version of xna being developed, that perhaps would help Mazer Mayhem and Gear Toy Gear get ported to GNU/Linux
please let us know how simple and easy would be porting these two so amazing games!
Could you add just alot of steam games? Im not allowed to get them and id really like to play them. Alot of my friend's say they are really good. I dunno but could you add some steam games for debian. Thanks

There are currently over 1900 games on Steam that have a Linux version and more will come. Are there specific games you want?
Not really. I run a debian distro and i cant find any that are really like steam fames. Could you put "The following dying light" maybe "Metro 2003" just alot of games that are modern and can be used by a guy like me. Thank you!

The Metro series has Linux versions that can be downloaded via Steam, Dying Light: The Following also, but of course you can't download those with apt-get/aptitude, you have to use the Steam client.
