GTA
Perfect World (Free MMORPG - Like Wow, Only cool)
and a fair amount of the emulators that are out there could offer more linux support. So far all they have is 'here's a source, WING IT.'
and last but not least: Bible stories IV
I remember playing Rainbow Six on the N64. Awesome game, you could literally plan out the whole level to your liking if I remember correctly.
Sorry for the double post but this caught my eye.
HELL YEAH rainbow 6.
You could plan out the whole thing, From weapons, to what kind of grenades you carry, lockpick kits, demolition kits, what armor (and type of camo) you wore, and every movement made by the computer. It was as much a strategy game as it was a shooter. Video games should have stoped at 64 bits. (of course I love the PS3)
I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and consider it the best of the bunch - though it does have some serious weaknesses - but all of the other tax software packages seem much worse to me.
However in Linux world, I must restrict myself to the online TurboTax. I have used both concurrently now for two years to see just how well the online compares witht he PC based.
The PC based is much better. When the online version is obscure or lands me in a blind end --- most often at the end of the process when it does its checks and sends you back to someplace that is very very hard to figure out --- I must use the PC based package to figure it out. So I just think that Linux users would have this serious disadvantage being restricted to the online version.
These three packages have no equal in the Linux world.
After reading reviews of Linux users interested in moving movies they own to off DVD formats. I found that Linux has no comprehensive package that keeps up with the most resence protection schemes and allows one to do the conversions to other formats.
SlySoft - when I cannot convert to avi or mpeg formats, I usually can just create an ISO file image and play it using WD-TV or Kantaris video player on Windows.
I wonder what some people consider to be a game. For me a game has to be enjoying, but tax software?
Heh, for lot of people filling taxes is a big, big game. Who's gonna win this year, the state or you ? The thrill of cheating, the joy of finding holes in the law...
PS. I actually think the guy is just a troll, tax software as a preface to trolling, followed by a post on video software as the main post ie, the purpose for registering and posting to a forum with carefully and intentionally chosen topic on ported games.
Plus Bard's Tale, Beyond Good & Evil, Imperium Galactica II, The Sims, Baldur's Gate / Champions of Norrath series, Neverwinter Nights.
I'd like to see the Fallout series ported, but I just know that'll NEVER happen.
Don't know about Skyfox, Bard's Tale Beyond Good and Evil, Imperium Galactica 2 and The Sims. But Baldur's Gate runs fine with Wine, Fallout also (all parts). For Neverwinter Nights you can download the native Linux version from BioWare. All you need is the key of the Windows version to use it.

I meant ported as in actually ported, not played via Wine. Thanks for the tip on NWN though.

honestly i'd like to see an updated build of the linux version of wolfgl http://sourceforge.net/projects/wolfgl/
yes there is a linux version but it is like years old
Way too many to mention..they should just develop them for Linux aswell when releasing them. I don't see what would they loose? They will just gain because people will still need buy those games and they will get larger costumer population not just Windows users.
Distribution: Ubuntu; checking out Manvriva; Xubuntu

I'd like to see all of Sid Meiers offerings ported to Linux, especially CIV IV and the latest, CIV V. I've been playing the Civ series since CIV II and they provide me with hours and hours of entertainment. In fact, THESE GAME ARE THE ONLY REASON I KEEP WIN 7 installed. So come on with it, SID and help free me from the perils of closed operating systems!
