Would like to see steam and the valve games working in linux - h/l 2,cs: s,h/l etc...

Does anyone know about X-Plane? If I order it, can I get both the Linux and Windows versions or only the Linux version? How do I install the program? Is the Linux and Windows versions on the same cds? Thanks.

DOSBox runs natively on Linux. I've found very few things that don't work properly.

The X-Plane DVD comes with the windows and mac installer. You will need to download the linux dvd installer from the X-Plane website. Basically when you purchase X-Plane you get the game for all platforms. Excellent game too I might add. Have fun.

Legend of Zelda.

As I understand it, there is a port available for windows and Mac, named Zelda Classic. Linux port in the works; no word on when it will be available.

Anarchy Online! One of the only two MMORPGs that have been able to hold my attention, and the other one allready runs great with WINE, though a native client for Ultima Online that ran the 3D version would be nice.

Not all of it, but enough to make it not worth the while for most companies to bother doing it.

Two programs, Cedega and Crossover Office, are both trying to get Windows games working with Linux with varying degrees of success, then of course there's Wine... Their ambition is to get everything that ever worked on Windows to work on Linux.

This is a 65 page thread, so I'm sure it's already been said but...

World of Warcraft. I've been through hell and back using wine, cedega, VMWare, trying to get the damned thing to work. Everywhere I went I got told, "you get much better fps most of the time in linux". I certainly haven't yet.

Not to mention (although it might be a rumor), Blizzard originally accidentally released a linux based WoW client... If that's true, it shouldn't be TOO hard for them to upgrade it to latest.

And they'd make a lot of customers a lot more happy..

I'd buy the game again if it meant a native linux client.
