Flight simulator... I want to be ablo to fly Portugal---> USA without getting a crash... maybe I should learn how to fly instead :)

emu_123 11-18-2003 01:05 AM

I'd like to see:
Need for Speed 4 / 5
GTA 3 / Vicecity
Empire Earth
Half Life I (with all the expansion packs)
Half life II (if it ever gets released)

on Linux. With those I could finally kill off my win XP :)

Id gladly buy them again if it meant that software companies would realise that there is a market for games in linux and start making games for linux as well as windows. :)

My games and opinion

These are the games I would like to see ported to Linux (no wine):
1.The entire GTA series
2. The Worms series
3.Warcraft 2 and 3
4.Snood (ya ya ya frozen bubble is cool too)
5.Splinter Cell
6. Better emulators for old video game systems(snes9x...)
7.And just about any new game that sells more than a million copies (I am sure the company can afford it)

I acually plan on going to school for computer science and I will be forced to learn DirectX . If I start programing I will refuse to use it (screw microsoft). I understand that it's not Linux's existence to overthrow M$, although if Linux gets better and more popular I feel that "windows only" companies will start cross-platforming. I would rather pay 50 bucks for a linux copy then 30 bucks for a windows copy. *snickers* In fact ALL of my microsoft software (even the OS) has been pirated. I realize that stealing is wrong and I dont steal, I just feel that Microsoft has ripped me off in the past so I am just taking my monies worth back (I wont give out my pirated software). I think that the linux community would rather spend the money on helpful software because they dont have to pay 250 for an OS and 400 bucks to type letters. i plan on e-mailing a large portion of game developers saying that we (the linux community)) are interested in buying there products. Although I refuse to buy windows software anymore (M$ or third party), I only pirate M$ crap and I wont take a program from a thirld party (like activision) because THAT would be theft.

piraterock 11-24-2003 10:52 PM

ultima online. the silent hill series, all 3d shooters, ffxi, ok, lets just port everygame then we wont have to whine to the companies about being biased. pigs!

setlec_seta 11-26-2003 10:59 AM

there are some games that r interresting but we canīt port all games to linux, but if the players of those games r ready to help the programers to port to linux then iīll be wrong ( iīm french spoken sorry for errors in english!! :D ). we need to make a kind of petion for asking to the developpers to port their games to linux... but only a big United community of linux users could make the developpers to port their games.

I hope to be understood...

lynx_lupo 11-27-2003 03:24 PM
