What games would you like to see ported to Linux?

This thread is for letting vendors know that there is interest in porting one of their games to Linux. Let us know what games you would like to see ported and why. Details such as how much you would be willing to pay may be helpful as well. If there is enough interest for certain games I will even contact the vendor myself.

Personally, I would like to see all the Lucasarts Star Wars games ported over. I miss the X Wing and TIE Fighter games.

I'd even be willing to pay the £34.99 that is normally charged in the UK.

For a normal charge I'd like to see Age of Wonders ported. It's one of the last round-based strategy games (besides civ...).

WARCRAFT III, of course!!! one of the best games EVER!!!
warcraft II was the best of its times (i used to spend hours playing it...7 years ago... ), but warcraft III is really revolutionary - it's the best simbiose of RTS and RPG...

Hi all,

While Transgaming's WineX has a "4" rating for the entire Baldur's Gate series, I'd love native versions of these amazing games. I'm usually unwilling to pay for a game, but I'd definitely shell out some money for these ones.

Regards,

Zakaluka.

Which games, how about all games. But if I had to pick a few; Splinter Cell, Counter Strike, Quake III. I would be willing to pay, since I pay for the Windows versions.

Warcraft II and The Age of empires Series.

Why? Because they are the best RTS games ever released.

Yes! They do rule very much. Diablo II would also be a nice addition. Maybe Master of Orion III?

newbie question

I'm wondering what efforts does it cost company's to port their games to another platform. Do they have to rewrite the code entirely or is it easyer than that.

And if anyone is ambitous: make a program that port window programs to linux programs. So I buy Half-Life 2 (in the future) and port it with that program. :-D I know I'm dreaming if it was possible somebody would of thought about it before and be rich now :-D.

But anyway the base question: what efforts does it takes for company's to port their software.
