X2: The Threat and Doom 3 are my favorites on Linux. I also use Cedega alot to Play Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, Civilization IV, Pirates and others. They all run smooth for me with no problems currently.
I'm fairly new to Linux, and was pleasantly surprised to find that UT2003 has a Linux installer hidden in Disk 3. Works like a charm. Figure that one out....
I haven't found too much else, but I'll post if I see anything. I'll definitely be watching this post, since I was a big gamer until I ditched WinXP a couple of weeks ago.
Well, my pc isnt that fast but i have tried ut2004 and doom, good games but too much violence, i significatnly love the classic tuxracer, too bads they stopped developping it.

I happen to play more Quake 3 and 4 than anything, but if you want something non-violent, check out Neverball here:
Neverball is a very stressing game. If your more into relaxing I'd try out neverputt instead, but both games are fun and good looking, with great sound.

I have to agree, although I personally find Neverputt more stressing than Neverball. Its almost impossible to get to the hole on some levels, even the easy course, without the ball falling off into oblivion.
Since you seem to know alot about open source games, I've been looking for a great pinball game for Linux that is simular to the Pinball game that comes with Windows. Do you know of any? The ones I've tried haven't been good at all, and all are pretty much dead in development anyways.

Sadly Emilia Pinball seems to be the only option. It actually plays pretty well and with only a little development nudge would be a good game, but it has not moved forward for a few years.
The Battle For Wesnoth is a good turn-based strategy game. Campaign mode is difficult and most people prefer to play online.
There's lots of support on the website if you're interested.
