Warcraft 3 on Ps2 version of Linux?

Hey all
im new to the forums here and i was wondering
would someone who owns the linux kit for the ps2 be able to install wine and run warcraft 3 and be able to play properly and not lag?
And how differnet is the Linux that the ps2 runs compared to a normal x86 core?

In short, no.

The PS2 isn't nearly powerful enough. The point of the Linux Kit (to my understanding) was to increase development.

Yep, Wine and Cedega don't provide x86 emulation, and thus will not run on the PS2's MIPS cpu.

There might be a port of dosbox though, so you could play some old dos games...

Tho, if you build it from source, doesn't it recognize any cpu (almost) and build the program from there?

You might try to build wine from source and it might recognize the cpu correctly but wine emulates windows and not the x86 architecture so the games themselves will not run imho. and defintely not warcraft 3. you might try something more low-end and give that a shot, but i don't have much hope.

Yes, but the Windows EXE is still x86 code, and if there's no x86 processor there (or an emulation of one), then it's not gonna run.
