Both games have native linux versions, and the Windows CD is exactly what you need to install them. The link Cogar posted will get you going nicely with Doom and for UT2004, check the installation disc, there should be a linux-installer.sh file on there. It's there on my DVD version, just run that to install it

does it mean it's an open source game? can I read the source? or it means that you don't have to make your souce free to run games on *nix?
AWSOME guys! thanks!
Yes to your questions (apart from the ones about reading the source and the games being open source). Open Source Software is not the only kind that will run on Linux. Hopefully more and more companies will release Linux installers for their games.
And apologies for my earlier incorrect post - I don't run either game.

My guess is that many still don't see GNU/Linux as a profitable platform to support. I believe that view will continue to change with time. Thankfully many great game makers are already supporting GNU/Linux such as UT2K4, Doom3, NeverWinter Nights. With more users choosing to run an OS besides Microsoft Windows vendors will have to look at GNU/Linux in a different light.
