UT2004 stats
 

I'm thinking about installing ut2004 for my linux drive, because my brother (ruler of yonder windows drive) owns the game and I quite like it.

However I can't seem to find out if the linux version hooks up to the internet to store your stats like the windows version does. i don't much care, but apparently if it does this it will erase all of my brothers stats. I highly doubt they've ommited this feature, but it it's worth asking.

anyone know?

The retail version is the same for linux and windows...the online servers that you connect to are the ones that transmit your stat information. The server has to have it enabled. As long as you sign up a new STAT account, it should not interfere with his stats. I think you can turn off stat tracking altogether in the settings somewhere...

well then he's an idiot. my only information on this was from him. I told him I wouldn't even go online, I'd just do the offline bots because those work well enough. Gah...
