ut2003, linux and umod

Does anyone know if there is a umod installer for linux? I've been having no end of trouble, trying to get mods installed from the zip files. Only 2 ut2003 mods that i know of have linux installers, and theyare both either broken or full of errors (but i've been assured they'll be fixed in later releases). So is there a script or something for installing mods with umod? (why should windows get all the ease of use?)

do a quick search for "umodpack". It should work for ut2003 as it does for ut. Be warned though that you'l need to install a bunch of perl modules to get it to run.
