USB controller/ Unreal Tournament issue

I have one of those USB adapters to let me use a Playstation 2 controller under Windows/Linux.

I dont have any problems using it under either OS, but the right joystick refuses to work in Unreal. I know it works but I am not sure if Unreal lets you use the Z-Axis (thats apparently what the right joystick is). Is there a patch to let me use it or some sort of hack I could do.

Thanks
