unreal tournament 2004 internet game type problem? (cant find any answers)

I recently uninstalled ut2k4 from usr/local/games and installed it to /backup/ut2004 (another hard drive i added)... Ive attempted to install the game 2 times, both times the game installs just fine exept when i go to Internet no servers show up and when i look up at game type there are no types in the drop down list.. Ive tryed this both patched and un patched.. Just dont know what to do about it.. If i put ut2k4 back in usr/local/games i cant add any mods cuz my usr/local drive is full..
any suggestions?

ooh yeah I dont think this will help at all but my linux distro is slackware 10, my computer is a 3200+ amd athalon xp, asus motherboard, geforce fx 5200 vid card, 1 gig of ram...
Ive ran ut2k4 on linux for quite a while now without problems...

I guess no one has ever had this problem befor, Well if it helps I think it all started when i tryed installing the frag.ops mod.. After i installed that the game changed completely and it would only let me play frag ops servers.... so i reinstalled and then no servers showed up.. if i re install frag.ops it will show the frag.ops servers again but i cant play them for some strange reason that doesnt matter much any more......

networking game problem

I used SuSE 9.2 for a nice long while at school, and playing ut2k4 was the best way to blow some time. I didn't have internet games until I popped a couple of holes in my firewall; the paranoid setting tends to block all ports. Hope this helps...
