stepmania won't run after upgrade

I just upgraded from my ubntu system from warty to hoary and stepmania will no longer run. I did a clean install, downloaded the new version of stepmania (the only one available from sourceforge?) and after extracting it, it does this:

./stepmania: error while loading shared libraries: liblua.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I've run apt-get on the liblua50 as well as liblua40, liblua50-dev and other liblua ish packages trying to get this to work, and it hasn't changed anything

help?

I'm having this same problem also.

Can anyone help?

I finaly got it working: downgrade to the last version. rc3 I believe, that did it for me.
