Unhappy Sound Goes Away in ClanBomber!

Hello. Yesterday I was playing ClanBomber with a friend and the sound was fine an we could hear the music and everything, until one time the sound just stopped. So I rebooted, made sure the volume was OK and started up ClanBomber. Still no sound. Then, I started up other games, XMMS, etc., and their sound was completely normal. Then, I ran clanbomber in the terminal and it didnīt start. It gave me this error message:

Exception caught from ClanLib:
ClanSound: Mixing rate (22.05 kHz) not supported by soundcard.
Segmentation fault

I am using a VIA VT8233 sound card (built into motherboard). How do you change the mixing rate? Or is it really another problem?

...sounds to me like part of the ClanBomber package broke. Try reinstalling it. I had something similar, but I was completely losing aRTs. I was using Mandrake at the time and I found that was a pathetic Linux.

Also (I don't know about this one), but you might can try to start it in the terminal with either a -? or a --help switch trying to get it to give you an arguments list (maybe telling you how to change the mixer setting and everything).

I tried reinstalling it, to no avail. I also tried clanbomber --help, but it gave me the same error message. Also I tried man clanbomber, but nothing.

You might have to delete ClanBomber, then reinstall it. ...sounds like the executeable (or a library it needs) has gone bad.

Experts please respond to this. Am I chasing the wrong car?
