Solitaire games for Linpus Lite on Acer Aspire One
Is there any Solitaire game(s) I can install for my AA1 with Linpus Lite? There are no solitaire games at all listed in the add/remove software list. One user in the games forum said Pysol solitaire games was listed, but it isn't on my AA1. The games that were included with the AA1 are pretty lame and I'd delete all of them if I knew how, and replace it with one decent solitaire card game, if there was one available. I've had my AA1 for almost 3 years and gave up trying to figure out how to use anything other than what was installed already, except Skype and Picasa, I can't even find any soltaire for the linpus lite searching with Google. Can't believe Acer didn't include a least one simple Solitaire preinstalled, especially when the games logo shows a deck of cards.

What are you using as a desktop environment? Package manager? I'm doing some looking around but there isn't much info on Linpus, other than it's based on Fedora. If this is so I would presume that you can download and install .rpm's.
Here are the results for a search for Pysol .rpms:
The desktop environment uses something called XFCE or something like that. Yes, Picasa and Skype were downloaded as rpm files. I checked the list of Pysol rpms, but have no idea which one I should download. I'll have to fool around with the AA1 to see if I can find out what version of Fedora I have and what the ARCH is (what ever that is). Another thing is my AA1 only has 8gb of memory. I think I have a little over 3gb free. How big is the Pysol files?

Asuming, that Linpus Lite is Fedora 8 based ..
PySolFC-1.1-6.fc8 is 5 MB, and has some dependencies :
tcl tk tix tkinter python-imaging python-imaging-tk tile
PySolFC-1.1-6.fc8, what are dependencies "cl tk tix tkinter python-imaging python-imaging-tk tile" and how do I get them?
For Klondike:
If Xpat depends on libXm2.so.2, 1.5 MB (from lesstiff), Where do I get it?
Do I just go to terminal and type in: # yum install lesstif --nogpgcheck, before I download Klondike?
For TkSol:
Just like Pysol, where do I get Tcl/tk and once I get them I just need to type in: cd tksol/ && ./tksol
I really appreciate your help, but I'm so use to clicking on a link to download something to my desktop (on Windows)and then clicking on the icon to install and open a program, I have no clue about dependencies, packages, entering stuff in terminal, etc. I do know how to get to the terminal window and type in commands. I have to enter a command like usr/bin/picasa to open it, but that's about the most I've ever down. Fortunately Skype was placed in my Advanced Desktop Menu so, I just have to click on it for that to work.
Chazzmor
just a warning
using the fedora rpm's ( the DEAD fdeora 8 only) on limpus light is "Russian roulette" some will run and some will KILL limpus
and there is NO WAY to tell what ones will do it .So be very careful
limput and fedora8 were never 100% compatible
but i would install a REAL os like a mint or ubuntu lightweight install

No Fedora 8 packages were recommended.
Pysol was built on Fedora 8 four days ago : may work.
Xpat2 was built on Slackware 9, seven years ago : Works everywhere.
Tk-sol is a "tcl script package": Run as is. Usually with any tcl / tk / wish.
