Slackware 10 and WineX/Cedega + Steam
 

Hi,

For some reason, I have noticed a dramatic drop in performance of Steam in Slackware 10 using Cedega 4.0 or the WineX release before it. I haven't tried releases prior to these two, but I'm not quite sure what the reason is for the dramatic performance lose in Slackware 10. Anyone else experiecing this problem?

its because pthreads arn't enabled in slack 10, I have the same problem, and trying to find out how to enable it.

What are pthreads (posix threads)? Multithreading? (SMP/HT?)
I've enabled SMP on my 2.6C (HT), and cedega (which never works for anything, for me) complains about stack size and pthreads. (not that I can start anything, but still)

I'm also on Slackware 10 with winex3.3.

can you please tell me what i need to do for playing games or something ?
