Signed. Hope it helps. I've had some experience with online petitions and although alot of people will tell you it doesn't work believe me, it does. Even if you don't get the desired result you have at least made them aware.

It probley won't happen. I wouldn't say blame it on Transgaming, but since they have supported it and they are real good friends with Blizzard I just don't see it happening. Besides the game works on Cedega so what is the point? Developers are never going to fully support Linux, they still don't support Mac all that much. So why would Linux be any different? Keep dreaming because you won't see it in your lifetime, especially since most people still prefer Windows over Linux, even after using it.

It will never happen if people dont display their interest. If game developers see that there is a linux or a mac gaming market thats worth tapping into, then they will happily make Linux ports. However, if everyone keeps silent, pessimistically believing that Linux will never become an alternate gaming platform within their life, then sure, it will never happen. Speak out, show your support of Linux, and gaming companies will take notice.
linux client was included in closed beta nay sayer
Yes, Thanks Trip. Also, consider the following Linux Compatible releases: Doom 3 and Unreal Tournament 2004. Is this the impossible linux gaming future you are talking about? If two very popular FPS have Linux versions out there on the market, whats to prevent more gaming companies from following suit?
i have ut2004 and nwn on linux and love it. WoW had a closed beta linux client. i think more games should be on linux, but as bioware said, it's up the the publisher too. If the company wants to release a linux client later, all the lawyers have to agree too.
I'm for a free world and ease of making money. You don't need lawyers if you agree and everyone can make money.
There was never ever a linux client for WoW and anyone who says otherwise is telling you a big fat lie. Blizzard has repeated numerous times there are absolutly no plans for a linux client and they direct you to transgaming.
Take it from someone who actually was in the closed beta...
i think that's really cool but i don't want to have to pay monthly... i stress tested wow and it's an awesome game, but i don't have the time comittment to get my money's worth.... i would only have a few hours a week to play it and i can't justify a monthly bill for that... i understand it's for maintenance of the servers and stuff, but seriously! why can't it be something like Diablo 2's battle net? or somethin like that... i would definately buy it if they were to do somethin like that.... (heh.. or you could just get a key generator that makes new time card... heh.. even then.. they shouldn't do that crap.... some of us can't work that into out budget! =(

do you deprive people from at least running an emulated version?
(many of which needs to carry on having fun just like in windows).
or do you encourage people to accept only Linux binaries -
in an effort to send the message : we are serious about Linux ports.
a very tricky issue.
It is indeed a little tricky, hopefully just knowing there is a community of linux gamers will help, and might get more games to us in some form..I hope, or maybe I am just thinking that, soon to get cedega btw
