Savage: The Battle for Newerth now freeware? WTF?

As the name says. If you go to s2games.com and go to the savage one section.. you can download the full version of the game, for Windows only though. I couldn't find much news at all, except from a forums post or a reader review. It begs the questions: why? What about the Linux version found at Tuxgames? What do you get with the commercial over the freeware? Someone 's`plain to me what is going on? :P

Sorry I have no answer for you, but your sig. sure brightened my day.

A local favorite along the lines of the last one:

Mouse has moved,
Windows must be rebooted for this change to take effect.
