Red Hat 9 or Fedora to use with Steam?

Hi there

Seeing as how I have both Red Hat 9 and Fedora Core 1 burned to CD, I was wondering which would be more stable/better to use with steam. I have noticed a lot of people have wine problems relating to fedora so i was wondering if installing red hat 9 instead might fix this (sounds strange i know but i had steam working well before but i cant remember which os i was on at the time and it might be red hat 9)

Im gona install Red Hat 9 again at the weekend again anyway but any input would be appreciated.
