Damn I wish I could help you.. but it's been 5 years since I tried hardcore botting.. I was even one of the first users who were able to use the macros system before it was made stable.

The things I can just think of now is: (a) try other stable versions of OpenKore (b) check the log, it's the most helpful tool which can tell you if the bot is really working properly e.g. it detects incoming monsters and knows what to do with them.

I hope those can help you somehow.

Perhaps you can also post here a log section where a monster is found. That might also give our co-forummers some idea.

Have you made sure that the server you use welcomes bots?
A quick google will give you servers where botting has been successful - but most admins seem to be pretty good at spotting and banning bots. Try a different server.

This whole thread, and others like it elsewhere, suggests to me that there is probably a market for bot-friendly servers - perhaps a game which is designed for bots ... then it becomes a contest of bot programming. A sort of complicated version of gnu robots.

OTOH: if people just want to cheat against human players...

Smile Reply to Simon

i think essencRO banned bots.. but, if they have an anti-bot system? then how come i can login my bot? i have asked questions in different forums asking them what are the effects if they have anti-bot, i was wondering whether anti-bot is the cause of my bot not attacking.. either way, i wasn't able to get an answer.. up until now ive been figuring out what could be the problem.. some say its because the bot does not recognize the monster, *sigh* (i changed the packet and added mon_control and monster) i have even tried to use the latest bots and config it, it does not attack.. i think i will give up.. thanks anyways.. if you solve that problem.. just post in this forum.. i will keep in touch just in case..

thanks

You can easily check by trying your bot in a known bot-friendly environment. This will tell you right away.

Perhaps the anti-bot system only allows the user to walk but not attack.. only walk so that GMs can easily detect and ban them. It does allow you to log-in but only for that.. so that you'll be detected. The system perhaps does not acknowledge your attack packets (e.g. not make response packets) so that you can do nothing but just walk. You might ask why not just immediately ban the user.. maybe they only like it that way. Or maybe they want visual verification.
