Quick Q3 questions
 

When running a dedicated server from the command line i.e ./q3ded how do you kill the game? I am not in X, so cannot just close the console.

there must be a command but I cannot find it.

Secondly, I was told in order to host a dedicated game when a smoothwall firewall PC is sitting between me and the www, I had to run the server on the smoothwall machine itself.

I have copied over the files, and can run the server, but only clients on the LAN can connect. Am I missing something?

Maybe you should open firewall's port ?

To quit the server, did you tried CTRL+C ?

you have to set the game up to use the wan ethernet adapter if i remember correctly.

Thanks for the interest, I have managed to find the answers to the console side of things

to kill the game is sv_killserver
to quit the Q3 console just type quit.

I still haven't found a way to run the game on the smoothie though. I was under the impression that running it from the smoothwall box meant that it was outside of the firewall but this doesn't seem to be the case.
