Try typing

Code:
mkdir /mnt/cdrom && mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
and copy the files from /mnt/cdrom

You might also try /media/cdrecorder instead of /mnt/cdrom. What is the cdrom part of your /etc/fstab?
