Quake 3, Mandrake 10.0 question.

I am a linux noob. Last night I installed mandrake 10.0, got the nvidia video driver working, and installed quake 3/punkbuster/osp. I was able to get punkbuster updated and osp installed. I can connect to osp servers/join games/play. The only problem I am facing is that the pm skins are not loading. I am not able to change the enemy colors without pm skins. Whenever a player joins, I get console messages stating there is an error loading the enemy skin.

I have gone into my osp folder and done chmod +x to my pk3 files. That didn't do anything, so I went ahead and chmod +x to osp folder. Has anybody experienced this problem or could anybody tell me what I might be doing wrong?
