Problems compiling Quadra on Slackware 9.1

Got problems compiling/installing Quadra on Slackware 9.1 running kernel 2.4.22.

I try to run the configure-script, but I get "configure: error: libpng is required and could not be found!", and I DO have libpng installed. I Installed it both through source and from slackware-tgz.

I also tried to remove the line wich's is looking for libpng in the configure script, but then I get errors when doing make.

Anyone have a solution? Thanks.
