problem with 2 billiards games


i installed two billards games BillardGL and FooBillards...

i get pretty much the same error message

Xlib: extenstion GLX missing on display ":0.0" (for FooBillard)

Open GLX extenstion not supported by display ":0.0" (for BillardGL)

im a newbie, whats going on with this, i though slack9.1 would have evertything i need cause it compiled perfectly fine

do you have your video card drivers installed to enable 3d acceleration? if not what video card do you have ?

i have a geforce3 from nvidia

well you are going to have to go to www.nvidia.com and download the IA32 drivers and you can either read the README file, or follow this guide

i installed the new drivers

do i need a new opengl, im guessing thats what this error is

just fire up a terminal and type
glxgears

ok be back in 5 minutes, i have to boot to it, because i cant get my wireless network running on linux... grr, another problem another day... thanks, ill bb

ok well if you do in fact state that you have the drivers installed, then do you have the option
Load "glx"
in your /etc/X11/XF86Config file ?

you don't still have
Load "dri"
