Unhappy Problem while trying to play "Supertux" in FC3


hi,

I installed supertux on my FC3 machine:
$ su
Password:
# rpm -i supertux-0.1.2-rh-fd-asp.i386.rpm
# exit
exit
$ supertux
Datadir: /usr/bin/../share/supertux
Warning: Unable to open the file "/home/stefaan/.supertux/config" for read!!!
Segmentation faul
$ su
Password:
# supertux
Datadir: /usr/bin/../share/supertux
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (out): 0x0916a2e8 ***
Aborted
#

Does anybody knows how to solve this problem???

Looks like you don't have SDL installed....I always get that error when SDL isn't installed correctly.

Also, I suggest using the CVS to get the game. Most "indie" games sometimes don't isntall correctly because they have bugs in the versions that are released. The CVS generally has more stable code for games like supertux.

eh excuse me but I'm pretty much of a n00b ... so what is SDL ?

You need this to play teh Tux! Good luck!

You also need your video card drivers correctly installed to play at a reasonable speed.
