Problem Running Tux Racer.

Hi Every body

I am running REDHAT Linux 9.0 on AMD DURON.
The problem is that my Graphic card doesn't working well in LINUX. The Game Tux Racer doesn't run properly. I mean it doesn't run smoothly. The same problem occures with "chromium"(Sorry I forget the full name). The visualisation plugins in XMMS has the same problem.
Can any body tell me what should I do? Please.........

Yes he is quit right, I make it function with a celeron 500 without a pb.
You just have to install the drivers for ur video card, and modify ur XF86Config as explain in the readme file which u can found with the driver. Hope for u u have an Nvidia, drivers are more stable.

I am really sorry.
I forgotten to tell you about my board soecification. I am using PCCHIPS M810DLU v7.5c. It contain SIS chipset and AMD DURON processor. The VGA card is of SIS 740. Does it is still right to install NIVIDIA driver on it? If so where can I find NIVIDIA LINUX Driver?
I am waiting here for your kind reply
Thank you very much.

Looks like the 740 is not on the list of explicitly supported chips for 4.3 (I just ran xf86config to the point where you look at the card database). Perhaps the folks at xfree86.org might have a better answer for that chip. I may look over there too, if I get a few min...

http://dri.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/

Its the Direct Rendering Infrastructure project. They are the ones who are providing one of the 3D acceleration means besides Microsoft's DirectX, if I'm not mistaken.
