point2play, cedega
i have both point2play and cedega installed on my comp yet when i start point2play it asks for me to login and install cedega. I have done so, so how do i show point2play that cedega is installed?
|
I had this problem too, easist way was just to go with it.
|
go with what?
When i enter in my username ans pw it has me dl an rpm which I install |
oh I thought you installed cedega seperatly
So your problem is that when you install cedega via point2play it doesn't show? There should be a tab or something that shows which versions of wineX are installed because you can muilipile versions of it. |
the problem is that it doesnt show any.

I installed Cedega before Point2Play, I just installed it through Point2Play again to save the hassle, it worked alright.
|
I cannot seem to get Cedega to install and i also cant seem to be able to install it via Point to play as Point to play trys to have me download it and i have Cedega on disk what should i do
also i think i should add that i am a complete newbie to Linux FC3 and i am using the KDE desktop |
As has been said, just go with it. Point2Play want you to redownload Cedega, just download it again, not like it's huge or anything :)
|
Michael Davont, when you install it from point2play it downloads off the internet, there is no other way.
But if this doesn't work check the requirements |
What is the reason that you are using Point to Play versus just using the command line or creating scripts launched by icons on the desktop???
I don't use Point to Play and my subscription has run out, as of Cedega v4.2,... no intent to update it unless something dramatic happens in the Cedega arena... |
i can not download it because i do not have internet on that computer right now i use the internet at my college
so that is where i do all my downloading then i burn to disk at take home |
I finnally got Cedega installed and i am trying to install my games now via the command terminal instead of point to play but i keep getting an error here is what i do and what it says
$ cedega /media/cdrecorder/install.exe then it says $cedega /media/cdrecorder/install.exe/usr/lib/Transgaming_Cedega//winex/bin/wine: cant exec '/media/cdrecorder/install.exe': error=21 can someone please help or tell me what i am doing wrong |
Thats a pretty simple fix.... E 21 is related to the newer kernels like 2.6.10 ... Not exactly sure what distro your using but if you goto www.transgaming.org/forums theres a big section on Error 21 that will help you resolve it quickly.
Worked great for me! |
