Playing DOD, version 1.0

Hey guys,
I installed DOD, and I have the directory totally abstracted. So now I want to play it, but I dont know how! There isn't any run icons in the folder, except for the dodicon?
How would I run DOD? I think it would be the same way in running counter-strike, except I didn't wine DOD, I got the tar.gzip.

AFAIK you downloaded the DOD server you should download the standard zip file extract to your HL directory or wherever mods are put forgotten now. Then use wine/winex to run it
