Overwatch (Lutris opengl version) hangs gpu in certain conditions

Hello!

Here are my specs for reference:

OS: ArchLabs, with just normal arch repos.

CPU: A8 2.3ghz quadcore

RAM: 8GB

Video: Radeon R5 M240 with 1gb "dedicated VRAM" AKA southern island "Mullins" GCN1.0

Driver: radeon, with hw accell, glxinfo | grep version gives core profile opengl 4.5 ( I am trying to make amdgpu work for vulkan, but I cant get it to load, see my other thread (link incoming) )

I just installed Overwatch in Lutris on ArchLabs using the opengl installer. Now playing works quite fine, nice performance, except when i use the minigun robots right-click self heal for example, or the D.va's missiles, the gpu driver seems to crash - the screen freezes, but the game (audio etc., I can move) is still playing, it's just the video that gets borked. It stays borked, sometimes flickering a little black. It sounds a bit like this issue:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102962

This is terminal output running lutris: https://pastebin.com/JqZyvcWv

This is dmesg from when the gpu crash has happened, taken from tty2:

https://pastebin.com/KbH4BXPm

One a side note, in the blizzard app all letter turn up like grey/white squares, which doesnt bother me. BUT I tried starting lutris like this: MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.0COMPAT lutris, and then the letters in the blizzard app look normal! But overwatch crashes on startup with a wine error message just saying "General Error: 0x0000021" or some such.

I saw that there is a arch user repo for mesa-git, perhaps a even more cutting edge version than the one in the normal repos would be good?

I highly recommend you contact the radeon devs and or file a bug report. We cannot debug your system and can only make guesses from here.
