Origin crashing when trying to download a game?
 

I used wine to install Origin on Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon and it works perfectly: I can play downloaded games fine, browse games, etc.

Only problem is as soon as I try to download a game it either crashes or gives me a error saying that the download directory isn't right.

Sounds like it's not working perfectly. Never tried origins but have not heard many good things.
Does origin crash or wine?

Check the logs.
