Open source tactical shooter

Hi all

Little question... are existing Open source tactical shooter Games? I only heard from Americas Army for linux, but that is closed and has a strange recruitment flavor. And CS and winex closed to.

There are tactical shooter addons for QuakeX and UT200X. The addons are open. The game base is proprietary, except for the early quake shooters.

Cool.. thanks for the link. Nice site, nice helpfull installers. I think I will try a game from the proprietary UT200x base.
It`s a great pity that cube has not more mods

Hey, install Enemy Territory for free and then grab the True Combat Elite mod. Lots of linux players there and it's a pretty cool game.

Edit** - I should also say neither ET or TCE are open source.

There's a mod for Cube, called ActionCube, but it's still in development.
Search on Google for ActionCube or actiongame, I forgot the address.

Yep.. I have see this mod. I hope the develpoment goes ahead. No downloadable version till now.

But the description sound good:
It aims to be kind of like old school CS. Although we hope to have realistic type guns, we don't want the realism to get in the way of game play...
