Mupen64Plus on Slackware - signal 11 caught

The application itself opens without a problem, but when launching a ROM the following occurs:
Code:
Compression: Uncompressed
Imagetype: .z64 (native)
Rom size: 33554432 bytes (or 32 Mb or 256 Megabits)
MD5: 1618403427E4344A57833043DB5CE3C3
80 37 12 40
ClockRate = f
Version: 144c
CRC: 1d4136f3 af63eea9
Name: THE LEGEND OF ZELDA
Manufacturer: Nintendo
Cartridge_ID: 4c5a
Country Code: f50
PC = 80000400
EEPROM type: 0

[blight's SDL input plugin]: version 0.0.10 initialized.

[blight's SDL input plugin]: Couldn't open joystick for controller #0:

Signal number 11 caught:
	errno = 0 (Success)
and the program crashes.

This is using any combination of the plugins.

intel gma 4500mhd

It has worked in the past on this computer on slackware 12.2 but now on slackware 13 I get the above.

Thanks

[EDIT]The joystick error goes away when I plug in a joystick, but the same problem remains

Now that I've had some time I tested to see if mupen64plus works of slackware64 13.0 and it seems to work fine, just like in other versions of slackware. All Zelda roms seem to work fine as well, no seg fault.

I compiled mine from source and am using the following plugins:

Rice's Video plugin
JttL's SDL Audio plugin
blight's SDL input plugin

However, I have a good nvidia card using proprietary drivers. You should make sure that you have direct rendering enabled. So run:

Code:
glxinfo | grep direct

Thanks for the reply, I do have direct rending enabled, but it is only an intel gma 4500hd chip, though it has worked before on slackware 12.2

I also use those same plugins. I will try to recompile it again and see if that helps somehow.

Thanks

edit: what version did you use?
