Moving UT From /home?

When I installed UT2004 on my Linux box, it defaulted to save the "ut2004" in my /home/username directory. I don't like this as I find it messy. Can I move this/relocate this to somewhere else? Before I thought games where installed under like /usr/local/games or something of that nature. Can someone tell me if I can move this and not break UT and if so, how?

Can't you just re-install?

You may have some problems. There is 1 serious change you are doing. Since you have it /home all the files are owned by you and can be both read and written by you. If you move it to a location (/usr) that is owned by root there could be some problems.

Even then, try copying it to the location you want, run it and see what happens. If you have errors, then work through them.

Moving is actually no problem, just remember to change permissions so you have at least read access to the ut folder. You won' need write access as your personal settings are stored in your /home -folder ( .ut2004 )
