Mouse problem while gaming!

Hi!

I'm very new to Linux, and a friend helped me installing it, but he has no idea how to solve the following problem.
I first installed Quake3 and after I got it running, I started playing and noticed:

When I click to shoot, the weapon shoots 5-10ms(I dunno) later. So I asked in a helping channel, and blablabla, they couldn't help me. Then ssmeone said, I should try other games. So I installed the UT2004 Demo and there I had the same problem.
Ok now you know whats the problem.... and I already niced XFree, just that you know.

Can anyone help me?
Bye

My system:
P4 2,6 Ghz
Intel Board
GeForce 4 Ti 4200
Logitech Mouseman Dual Optical
