Might and Magic(The Older Ones)

Heyas,

I was looking back through some of the games I have had for a while and came across the Might and Magic Millenium Edition(includes 5 or 6 of the M&M games) and figured they would be nice to have on my Linux laptop, which is quite old. I checked out the Transgaming website to see what information they had there, but it didn't look too well.

I tried running it in WineX myself and I get no error message, but no window comes up either:

#winex3 /mnt/cdrom/SETUP.EXE -use-pthreads no
#

I was wondering if anyone has managed to get any of the M&M games to work on Linux, with WineX or perhaps some other installer? Or maybe has anyone ported it to Linux, similar to what Loki did?

Thanks,
Chris

depending how old the games are, I remember playing M&M on the commodore64(the good old days)and on the 286/386. If they are old DOS based versions you can try DOSEMU http://www.dosemu.org/ or DOSBox, I have seen plenty of DOS emulators floating around, but I havent tried them.

Hope this helps
